Part of a global engineering group, my client are an international market leader of precision and hydraulic equipment used in the Energy and Nuclear sectors. They are now seeking an enthusiastic Technical Sales Engineer to join them as a Regional Account Manager to join their team and help with their continued growth. 

This role will involve taking enquiries from clients within your allocated region, and creating costed technical solutions for their requirements. This will involve liaising with the engineering team, as well as negotiating costs. This role also has an interesting unique element, where you will also assist with some internal audits and quality conformance reports. 

Responsibilities 

- Develop customer strategies as defined, set up an activity plan or deployment plan to ensure achievement of business targets.

- Be responsible for managing customer / agent relationships contributing proactively to network development on the basis of market conditions and requirements.

- Be responsible for developing contact with production and plant management (end user customers) to actively develop sales of the entire International portfolio within the business.

- Contribute and support the Company’s marketing activity to support sales growth.

- Be responsible for achieving cost-effective growth, pricing and cost-development strategies to achieve operational and strategic goals.

- Conduct and lead negotiations for contracts in the territory and / or programs as required and prepare business offers to support this.

- Customer Order Entry into ERP system and defining the contract requirements via the contract review process.

- Administrating Non-conformance reports and managing any customer complaints

- Investigating NCR and helping General Manager implement improvements

Candidate Requirements 

- Engineering (Mechanical) qualification would be ideal

- A technical and commercial understanding of major and key industries within market

- Be able to prepare and deliver customer (external) and internal presentations

- Self-motivated, flexible, organized with innovative “can-do” attitude

- Customer centric, outside in approach

- Client Management experience essential

- Any foreign language ability would be an asset although not essential

- Clearly demonstrate purposeful action taking
